I'm guilty of being a chronic "stress-a-holic", not prioritizing time for myself and self care. I realized eventually that this type of lifestyle contributed to many (if not all) of my health problems.
As an acne and SIBO survivor, I know the pain of feeling like certain conditions control your life. Honestly, it really sucks to have to plan your life around how bloated you feel that day or your social events to how bad your skin is. The worst part, is that I felt so alone. I didn't have any friends who I could relate to when I had these issues. It was debilitating, depressing, extremely frustrating and isolating.
I was really suffering. I wasn't really living my life. I was living my acne's life or my SIBO's life. So I decided to go to school to learn how I could help myself and others.
I received my Master's Degree in Nutrition from Hunter College in NYC. I then completed a 1,200-hour residency program at multiple hospitals and sub-acute care centers in NYC such as Bronx Lebanon Hospital and Bronx Lebanon Special Care Center. I am a Holistic Registered Dietitian (RD), Holistic Nutritionist and a Certified LEAP Therapist. My practice is an evidence-based holistic program based on my study of the latest diet theories and nutritional research.
I've been featured in multiple news articles, TV segments and magazine posts. See my advice on polyphenols in Well + Good's article here!
By viewing the client as a whole being and one synergistic system, I'm able to better understand the potential root causes of issues and truly help others heal from the inside out.
